New Endorsements from November 4th to 9th
Steven had a great week travelling throughout the province. On Wednesday he responded to the Fall Economic Statement from Sudbury.
The Sudbury Star covered Steven's visit, read about it here. Steven spoke with news outlets across northern Ontario calling for a new relationship between Queen's Park and northern, remote and rural communities.
More Ontarians joined the team this week including some notable Liberals. Here's what they have to say about why they're supporting Steven:
“Steven has proven to be a tireless supporter of our party and what it stands for. He has travelled the province to directly listen to and learn from our party members and that is exactly what we need in our next leader.”
- Elizabeth Betowski, Active Liberal
"I have known Steven for a number of years, first as a young political staffer and volunteer and, later, once he was elected to Queen’s Park. I have always admired his work ethic, drive, passion and dedication to the people of Ontario and to the Ontario Liberal Party and I am proud to support his leadership bid."
- Hon. Andy Mitchell, former MP, Parry Sound-Muskoka (1993-2006)
“As a PLA President, life long Etobian, and city planner, I always appreciate those who engage the grassroots communities across Ontario as well as our Liberal family. This is exactly what Steven has done. As an MPP, he was always available to attend an event or a gathering in our riding. During his bid for leader, Steven has continued to do the same. He has the values, hardwork, and experience to lead Ontario. I’m proud to support Steven as the next leader of the Ontario Liberal Party.”
- Andrew Misiak, President, Etobicoke-Lakeshore PLA
"I am pleased to endorse Steven as the next leader of the Ontario Liberal Party. In our time working together at Queen’s Park, I got to know Steven as a thoughtful and hard-working elected official who was, above all else, focused on advocating for the interests of the people he represented. I know that as leader Steven will keep the interests of all Ontarians as his number one priority."
- Donna Cansfield, former MPP, Etobicoke Centre (2003-2014)
“Steven is a team player who is not afraid to put in the work. He’s criss-crossed the entire province over the past year to hear directly from grassroots Liberals and he understands how vast and unique the different parts of our province are. I’m happy to support Steven and help him paint Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing Liberal red once again!”
- Terence Graham, Vice Chair, Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing Federal EDA
Until next week!
